Zambales is one of the provinces in the region of Central Luzon and its capital is Iba. Zambales borders Bataan to the south, Pampanga and Tarlac to the east and Pangasinan to the north. It also lies between the Zambales Mountains and South China Sea.
Zambales is also the second biggest among the seven provinces of Central Luzon with a land area of 3,700 kilometers. The population density of Zambales ranges to 170 individuals per square kilometer, one of the lowest population densities in the Philippines.
Moreover, Zambales is consisting of one city, which is Olongapo City, and 13 municipalities such as Subic, Castillejos, San Marcelino, San Antonio, San Narciso, San Felipe, Cabangan, Botolan, Iba, Palauig, Masinloc, Candaleria and Sta.Cruz.
There are several tourist spots in Zambales and you can actually appreciate its beauty. Snake Island is one of the best tourist spot in Zambales. This is an island with complete recreational places and very perfect place for relaxation.
Another is the Balon Falls. This is an ideal paradise for those who love nature with clear water fresh from the falls. The fragrance of tree and wild flowers also surrounds the whole area and the only sound you can hear is from the birds and wild animals that break the harmony of the place.
The Island of Hermana Mayor is situated in the middle of the sea that was situated at Sta. Cruz, Zambales. On the other hand, Silaguin Bay was bestowed with plentiful wild animals and marine resources. It is also one of the coasts soon to be industrial into a fish sanctuary.
Furthermore, Pundaquit is a fishing village situated at San Antonio, Zambales. This town is mostly known for its clean and calm beaches compared with San Felipe and San Narciso. People can do scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, camping, island tours and watercraft rides.
