Antonio Margarito "Tijuana Tornado" Montiel

Margarito is a Mexican/American boxer and he was born in March 18, 1978. Margarito is also an ex-World Boxing Association because of the scandal with Shane Mosley. This scandal was publicized when Nazim Richardson, Mosley’s trainer, found a plaster hidden in the wrapped hands of Margarito that lead him to be accused he was trying to cheat Mosley.
At Mosley’s trainer’s demand, California State Inspector Dean Lohuis called for Margarito’s hands to be wrapped again. Judd Burstein, Mosley’s attorney, said that Margarito had wet pads as he wrapped his hands and Mosley’s doctor said that this plaster is a sort used to make casts. That is why on January 28, Margarito and his trainer’s licenses were provisionally suspended by the California State Athletic Commission awaiting the result of the investigation.

Moreover, on February 11, the California State Athletic Commission cancelled their licenses. However, after a year, they can both reapply for their licenses in California, where they need to attend another hearing. Luckily, he reapplied another license that is why he will face Pacman for the vacant title of WBC Super Welterweight/WBC Light Middleweight.

Margarito’s Titles in Boxing:
·         WBO NABO Welterweight Title (2000)
·         World Boxing Organization Welterweight Title (2002 to 2007)
·         WBO Intercontinental Welterweight title (2007)
·         World Boxing Association Welterweight Title (2008 to 2009)

I’m just wondering who’s gonna win with this match, is it still the best pound-for-pound king, Manny Pacquiao or will Margarito take the crown?
