Longan: A beneficial fruit to your health

One of my favorite fruits was longan. Have you ever tried out to eat this kind of fruit? Or just like others, you are also not familiar with this. Longan, with has a scientific name of Euphoria Longan, is a fruit that is indigenous to Southeast Asia most especially in China and India. Chinese called this as Dragon’s Eye because it has an eye-shaped mark around the pit.

In addition, did you know that this fruit, together with its cousin lychee were brought by W.N. Brewster, who is a missionary in China, in the United States? Furthermore, if you are suffering from insomnia, longan can help you get rid with this condition. It can also replenish your blood and thus are excellent remedy for those who were anemic. Most especially, eating longan can also help your heart and keep your blood pressure. Lastly, it can treat gums and teeth problems, oral sores and cracks.
